Fires in Los Angeles, California have finally been under control and are now considered no longer active. The spread of the fire has stopped spreading and blazes have continuously calmed down, but with one fire slowing down comes another. Recently in Ventura, located in the northwest of Los Angeles, there has been a growing fire.

“Ventura City Fire and Oxnard Fire are on scene of a brush fire in the river bottom off North Ventura Blvd in Ventura,” Ventura County Fire Department (VCFD) on X, formally known as Twitter, said. “The fire is currently at five acres in medium fuels with a moderate rate of spread. Approximately 75 firefighters are on scene working to stop forward spread of the fire.”

The fire has gradually continued to grow and has now burned approximately 61 acres, including homes, and structures. The fire grew on a flat surface which let the fire be easier to contain.

With many structures getting impacted, people have also been getting caught in danger. According to CBS news there have been 10 deaths due to this fire.

There has been speculation that all of this started due to a bush fire. VCFD started to contain this from the air and on foot. Many people have gotten an evacuation order as a precaution including California State University Channel Island and the housing area of University Glen have too.

California's battle with wildfires have continued to grow but with all these challenges comes growth. With the sudden increase of wildfires, many firefighter departments have put in all their efforts to stop them. After all the damage that has been done, there is more focus towards recovery.
